Pre-Season Friendlies Set to Kick Off

This weekend brings the start of pre-season friendlies for The Non-League Reds. We kick off on Saturday afternoon at 3pm when we visit Newtown AFC in Wales. It's set to be a busy day as Newtown are celebrating their 150th anniversary, so it will be a great atmosphere there. The opposition have already had a couple of early pre-season games and have won both, so it will be a tough start for the lads. A coach will be provided for the trip and please see our social media accounts, for more information when it is available.

Tuesday night will see us take on West Cheshire League side Aintree Villa, a side we have not previously faced. The game will take place at their home ground at Aintree Racecourse, with a kick off time scheduled of 6:30pm.

Moving on to Saturday 12th July at 3pm and the opposition will be old rivals Skelmersdale United at LCFA Sefton in Drummond Road. After a tough couple of seasons, Skem will be looking to begin their new era with a good pre-season to take them into their Liverpool County Premier campaign.

Tuesday 15th July will see us play what has become an annual friendly against MSB Woolton. The match will be played at Simpsons in Woolton, with the kick off time to be confirmed. MSB Woolton are a strong well established side who will this season be joining the ranks of the North West Counties, for the first time.

Saturday 19th July will be the much anticipated match against our new landlords, Bootle FC. It's a 3pm kick off and there is bound to be a decent attendance for this one.

To complete our schedule, on Tuesday 22nd July, we visit Prescot Cables for what is bound to be another big test. Kick off is 7:30pm.
