A quick look back at The Non-League Reds pre-season fixtures to date, show a mixed bag of results but good chances for the lads to get plenty of minutes into their legs.
A 2-1 victory in Wales at Newtown AFC set the ball rolling, with goals from Caleb Jones and an Elliot Taylor penalty. That was followed up by a midweek draw at the home of Aintree Villa. A goal after 10 minutes from an Adam Moorcroft side foot volley, was cancelled out 10 minutes before the break. AFC had plenty of chances in the 2nd half but some great last ditch defending ensured the score remained 1-1.

Last Saturday, Vauxhall Motors Reserves kindly stepped in, due to Skelmersdale United having to pull out last minute. A well contested game in the sweltering heat was decided by a solitary goal from Tom Beckett on 34 minutes. Midweek action saw a well organised MSB Woolton side run out 2-0 winners, in what was again another good run out.

So on to tomorrow and our time at Bootle F.C.'s Berry Street Garage Stadium, officially launches with a friendly against our landlords. With lots of history and great encounters between the two Clubs, it is likely to be a good pre-season test for both sides. Kick-off is 3pm and entry is free, with an option to make a contribution. Obviously all donations will be much appreciated as we look to build towards the new season.
Season Tickets for the 25/26 season will also be available to purchase. We look forward to seeing you at the game as we start our journey at our new home.
